Let's take a look at all EIGHT chapters inside this kitchen essential...
One of the things that we love most about this book - aside from how quick everything is! - are the three dedicated chapters to soups, sandwiches and salads. We love a big family meal as much as the next mom but sometimes you don't need all the bells and whistles on the dinner table. These chapters let you keep it simple while still serving a satisfying meal to your family.
Whether you put your stovetop skillet to work, throw together a meal from just what's in your pantry or whip up a warm & filling casserole to pop in the oven, Fast-Fix Meals is where you'll find the quickest recipes.
Don't forget dessert either...the sweet chapter at the end of this book is full of shortcuts to make 'em smile. Ready to try one of these yummy treats? Here's a sample recipe from the Desserts in a Jiffy chapter!
Kim's Peach Cobbler
Shared with us by Beth Smith of Manchester, Michigan, this recipe comes together quick and only bakes for 20 minutes! Kim writes, "When I was first married, a co-worker shared this easy dessert with me. She has since moved on, but I'll always remember her every time I make this cobbler. Share a recipe and be remembered forever!"
Stir sugar, egg and vanilla until well blended; mix in flour. Place peaches in the bottom of a lightly greased 9" x 9" baking pan. Pour batter over peaches; drizzle with melted butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, or until light golden and crunchy on top. Serves 6.
Sounds like a sweet ending to any meal doesn't it? Later this week, we'll share one more surprise feature of Fast-Fix Meals that'll come in handy when you're planning your next week of menus...don't miss it!
