5 quick dishes to save Thanksgiving
The bird's in the oven and pies are cooling on the counter...but you see an empty spot on the buffet. Who has time to make something now? You do. With just 15 minutes on the clock, you can cook up something tasty like a 10-minute pumpkin bisque or a spiced apple sparkler.
Perfect for toting to a last-minute gatherings too, these 5 surprisingly easy dishes will definitely get you a repeat invitation. Let's get cookin'!
Spiced Apple Sparkler: We love a recipe that just calls for pouring and stirring, don't you? Technically, this one calls for chopping and slicing apples, but it's still pretty easy.
To make it, just take about 3 cups apple cider, a bottle of your favorite Pinot Grigio (or Reisling, if you like it sweet!) and stir. Add chopped apples and pears (you'll need 2 or 3 of each) and refrigerate for about an hour. Just before serving add a cup of club soda...more for more bubbles.
We like it cold, but it would be tasty if you gently warm it on the stovetop or even in your slow cooker!
