Maine Maple Candies
14-oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 c. butter, softened
2 T. maple flavoring
1-1/2 c. chopped nuts
32-oz. pkg. powdered sugar
3 8-oz. pkgs. semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
Mix together condensed milk, butter, flavoring and nuts; gradually beat in powdered sugar. Roll into one-inch balls. Refrigerate until ready to dip. Melt chocolate in a heavy saucepan over low heat; dip balls into chocolate. Place on wax paper-lined baking sheets until set. Keep refrigerated. Makes 3 dozen.
