Ahhh, fruit...nature's candy. From old to young, everyone likes a sweet slice of apple, a tart orange or a juicy blackberry. Not only is fresh fruit delicious, but we also love cooking with it. From breakfasts to salads to desserts, we could eat fruit for every meal!

Blackberry-Apple Crunch
While this makes an amazing after-dinner delight, why not try it for breakfast every now and again? Top it with a little vanilla or lemon yogurt...delicious!
2-1/4 c. all-purpose flour, divided
2-1/2 c. sugar, divided
1/4 t. salt
1 c. butter, sliced
2-1/2 c. fresh blackberries
4 lbs. Gold Delicious apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
cinnamon to taste
Optional: vanilla ice cream, additional blackberries
Combine 2 cups flour, 1-1/2 cups sugar and salt in a bowl; cut in butter with pastry blender and mix until crumbly. Combine blackberries, apples, remaining 1/4 cup flour and remaining sugar in a large bowl; toss to mix and spoon into a greased 13"x9" baking pan. Cover with flour mixture and sprinkle with cinnamon. Baking at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, or until bubbly. Cool slightly before serving. Serve with ice cream and blackberries, if desired. Serves 12.
