Harvest Cider, Vickie, Gooseberry Patch
12-oz. can frozen apple juice concentrate
12-oz. can frozen cranberry-apple juice concentrate
6-oz. can frozen lemonade concentrate
9 c. water
5 4-inch cinnamon sticks
1 t. whole nutmeg, coarsely chopped
7 whole cloves
Optional: 1/3 c. cinnamon schnapps
Garnish: additional cinnamon sticks or orange slices
In a stockpot over medium-low heat, combine frozen concentrates and water. Stir well as juices melt. Add spices, enclosed in a muslin spice bag. Bring to a boil. reduce heat to low; cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Discard spice bag; stir in schnapps, if using. Pour into mugs; garnish with cinnamon sticks for stirring or orange slices. Serves 12.
